“Salvato da REMIDA” (Saved by Remida) is a project entirely managed by volunteers and created in order to give a new life to books we don’t want to keep anymore by exchanging them.
Hosted inside the REMIDA centre and in different venues in the city during special events, this project is addressed to anyone willing to bring books and to take others in exchange, to make stories and ideas circulate.
“Salvato da Remida” offers to books otherwise destined to be thrown away new hands and consideration. A transition place for books that find their new home also in public offices, schools, paedriatics wards and neuropsychiatry units in the hospital of Reggio Emilia.
In the course of 2017 more than 5.000 books have been exchanged: novels, essays, technical and illustrated books, even in foreign languages.
